CATA bus fleet at Beaver stadium
CATA had collaborated with Matt Jacobs Productions a few times in the past, including commissioning us to photograph their 50th anniversary event, but in early 2025, they reached out with their most ambitious project yet.
The goal: To re-create an aerial photo from the 90’s featuring the CATA bus fleet and employees in front of Penn State’s Beaver Stadium. However in 2025, Beaver Stadium looked entirely different, and the bus fleet had evolved quite a bit – now featuring a variety of different sizes from small vans, to 60-foot accordion buses.
But no creative challenge is too big for us! With the use of Google Maps, Matt was able to design an arrangement of CATA’s various buses inspired by the original photo, but with its own creative spin. And at the heart of it all, CATA’s original “Bus One.” The resulting photo – captured via drone – is now featured on the wall in CATA’s lobby.
